The HTC Flyer and Jetsream tablets were no threat to the iPad 2 – and they will likely be added to the growing mass of tablets steamrollered by Apple's slate, but HTC ain’t no quitter.
The Taiwanese giant has revealed plans to launch a new tablet in 2012, according to Reuters. We're expecing that, with Ice Cream Sandwich coming to its smartphones, HTC will be launching an Android 4.0 tablet.
Since the Flyer’s chunky looks and poor stylus didn’t set the world alight, we’re hoping HTC goes down the slick and powerful device route, using ICS to create something uniquely desirable that synergises the mobile and the tablet.
Failing that, something affordable that works really well would be great too, since there’s still no sign of the Amazon Kindle Fire coming to Australia any time soon.
