HTC is set to announce its quad-core tablet at Mobile World Congress in February 2012. The news from Commercial Times isn’t a huge surprise as we’re already expecting the HTC Edge quad-core mobile to be announced – so a Tegra 3-toting tablet makes sense.
Sure, HTC’s last attempt at a tablet, the Flyer, was a clunky, old software-ridden effort. But if it learns from its mistakes and delivers the goods with a slate packing the Tegra 3 processor and Ice Cream Sandwich, HTC could be the next big name in tablets. There's plenty of competition for the top spot, though – HTC will need to better the mighty Tegra 3 powers of the Asus Transformer Prime.
