There are certain themes which are perennial, such as the importance of hiring good staff, the power of customer service and the need to adapt to change.
This year’s CRN Fast50 affirmed these themes are as relevant as ever while revealing a number of important new business and technology trends which look set to guide the industry for at least the next few years. Many of these reflect the challenges of running a business in a tough economic climate.
Financially, the Fast50 saw a big increase in revenues from annuity-based offerings such as the cloud and managed services while hardware numbers showed there's money yet in boxes. Financial services and accounting just pipped education as the most lucrative vertical for this year’s winners.
