Ice Cream Sandwich, Tegra 3 tablet released into the wild.

The hotly anticipated Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime Tegra 3 tablet will hit stores in the US today. The announcement was made by Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang at the company's 2012 CES press conference.

Huang stated that his team, alongside Asus and Google, had been working around the clock to make the announcement possible.

It wasn't made clear at the event whether today's release extends outside the US, although ASUS has previously tweeted that the Transformer Prime will be in shops in January. We'll keep you updated with more news as we get it.
