PC maker Lenovo has picked up Dicker Data as its new small-to-medium business distributor in Australia, boosting its partner base to hold three of Australia’s biggest distributors.
Lenovo has existing relationships with Ingram Micro and Synnex locally, and will use the new partnership to push further into the SMB sector and Australian market overall.
Dicker Data will distribute Lenovo’s full product range, with a focus on the Think and Edge PC lines and related software, services and peripherals.
Lenovo A/NZ sales director Chris Kelly told CRN the trio of distributors would together strengthen Lenovo’s position in the SMB market.
"This is a proactive step to help Lenovo achieve its business objectives and to work with all its partners to develop growth opportunities in the SMB market,” Kelly said.
Lenovo will reshuffle staff internally to manage the shift in focus, with sales and product sale redeployed to focus on the segment.
The PC maker will also invest more heavily in marketing and incentives for channel partners.
