Office equipment company Oki Data today announced the appointment of company veteran Dennie Kazuo Kawahara as its new managing director for Australia.
He replaces Takaaki Hagiwara, who has returned to the company's Japanese operation, and will take charge of directing Australian sales, new business development as well as managing distribution and partner relations.
Kawahara has worked with Oki for the duration of his 20-year career.
Most recently he headed Oki’s EMEA market development support team after a stint in the UK managing product development and delivery as well as outsourcing, alliances and partners.
Prior to these positions Kawahara worked for nine years at Oki America where he held several technical and business development-related roles. He helped to launch and manage five new branch offices in the US in addition to expanding Oki’s channel partnerships.
Oki’s key product categories are dot matrix printers, mono/colour non-Impact printers and multi-function device print solutions.
