Stylus for iDevices?

Apple's been toying around with the idea of introducing a stylus to use with its devices, according to an unearthed patent.

This optical stylus would work like any other but could also be haptic, so users can feel when the stylus makes contact with the touchscreen, reports Engadget.

Apple has been historically vocal in its opposition to manufacturers offering a stylus.

The iDevice maker did not comment on the purported plans.
