Xperia S sister incoming.

Sony has launched a marketing campaign offering customers the ability to decide when its follow up to the Xperia S smartphone will be announced.

Specs, price and even a name are thin on the ground but that hasn't stopped almost 16,000 fans taking part in the campaign so far, with the launch brought forward from June 22nd to June 18th.

Four unlocked prize boxes on Son'ys Facebook page hint at the possibility of four new handsets but Sony is yet to confirm. Sony recently released its Xperia P and U budget handsets for the low-end market.

Interested parties can take part on Sony's mobile app on Facebook.
