Patnaik departs.

Trend Micro A/NZ has undergone a geographic leadership shuffle, with managing director Dave Patnaik stepping down from his position and the company to relocate to an undisclosed executive role overseas.

The security vendor’s California-based vice president of emerging products and global sales chief Sanjay Mehta will join the A/NZ operation as its new managing director early next month.

Mehta said Trend Micro’s local business had emerged as one of the largest markets for the company globally.

“Dave and the team have built a strong foundation on which to build future growth, thanks in part to our robust partner network and a major commitment to the channel,” he said in a statement.

Patnaik’s departure ends a four year career with Trend Micro. He has previously held executive positions with Netgear, TechPacific and McAfee.
