Dual-screen, hinged phones in pipeline?

Samsung has submitted a patent suggesting it is working on a dual-screen smartphone.

The new patent follows from one first submitted in 2011. No product arose from the plans due to manufacturing issues with a hinge on the original design.

Samsung's latest patent indicates a better hinge solution, allowing the user to consume content while recharging, without needing a separate docking station, reports PatentBolt.

The patent details how a dual-screen smartphone can display multiple apps simultaneously and join to create one larger display.
