Slattery moves up, replacement named.

Chip maker AMD has appointed a new country manager across Australia and New Zealand following Brian Slattery’s promotion to a wider APJ role.

Slattery has held a six year career at AMD, two of those as local head.

He now fills the role of APJ consumer and OEM sales manager, based in Singapore.

Peter Chambers has been promoted from his role as AMD national sales manager to the new A/NZ country manager.

Prior to joining AMD in 2011, Chambers held sales positions at Fuji Xerox and Lexmark.

Chambers will report to APJ general manager Nick Lazaridis.

“I’m excited at the opportunity provided by this new role,” Chambers said in a statement.

“AMD’s main goal is to work as closely as possible with our customers and business partners to help them win. At AMD, we believe that when our customers win, we win. I look forward to reaching new heights of shared success in the region.”
