Google has announced Samsung Galaxy Nexus owners can now upgrade their flagship Android handsets to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Users will be sent a prompt alerting to the update over the nest week.
Google confirmed Nexus S and Motorola Xoom handsets will receive udpates in the coming weeks.
Google's own Nexus 7 tablet, due to ship this month and currently available for pre-order, will launch with the operating system out of the box.
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean offers new interface, keyboard, voice, notification, search and camera features.
