AVG has launched a new portal in its Reseller Centre to make customer interaction simpler and more efficient for its partners.
The new portal is a cornerstone of AVG's 'responsive channel model'; a continuous improvement program that responds to resellers’ business needs in Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific.
AVG's corporate sales director Michael Dowling said feedback from an annual partner survey had emphasised the need for improvement.
He said partners had already responded favourably to the portal, which went live last week.
"We've had a couple of comments from resellers already saying 'gee, it's looking snappy, it's looking sharp, it's now very easy to find things. It's receiving a positive reception."
A chief improvement to the redesign is the ability for a reseller to access all customer-related actions from the site's home page. Dowling said it allowed partners to more easily transact around licence delivery, and more efficiently manage customer orders.
The Reseller Centre redesign is one of several initiatives AVG has launched to aid its reseller partners.
"In the last two months, we've also announced our reseller technical training series," Dowling explained.
"This is all delivered by webinars and really focuses on improving the capability of the reseller in terms of their expertise around our product. It lets them represent themselves to their customers as a very-much trusted advisor."
AVG also rewards its top resellers via a reseller promotions program which offers "on the edge experiences" based on adventure and travel.
"We just did our Formula Ford Experience for the end of the financial year, where resellers got X amount of entries into the draw based on their spend," said Dowling.
"And we're just about to launch another one this month based around sky-diving. We try to provide them with a reward that is certainly going to give them a thrill."
