Dell’s Streak 7 3G tablet has popped up on a daily deals site for cheap, following the PC maker’s withdrawal of the Android tablet from global markets in December last year.
The seven-inch Android tablet has appeared on Catch of the Day for $179. It launched in 2010 and was previously available exclusively through Optus on a $29, 24-month plan (for a minimum cost of $696) or outright for $649.
The Streak 7 boasts 3G capabilities, 2GB memory, a seven-inch 480x800 display and Nvidia Tegra T20 chip, running on Android’s 3.2 Honeycomb operating system.
It has a 5MP back and 1.3MP front camera, and is being sold on Catch of the Day with a 12-month warranty.
Dell's cancellation of the Streak 7 followed the withdrawal of the Streak 5, its 5-inch sister, in August last year.
“Dell remains committed to the mobility market and continues to sell products here and in other parts of the world,” the company stated upon its discontinuation of the Streak 7 in December.
"Streak 7 delivered a unique experience for customers who wanted a larger screen size yet the freedom of staying connected to their personal and professional content while on the go."
