Niche security distributor Aquion is looking to sign resellers in the enterprise market to sell nCircle’s vulnerability management offering.
Niche security distributor Aquion is looking to sign resellers in the enterprise market to sell nCircle’s vulnerability management offering.
Aquion signed a distribution agreement in August to distribute nCircle’s IP360 enterprise security product suite.
The IP360 product suite includes a Device Profiler, which looks for all IP-enabled devices on the network, profiles the operating systems, applications and vulnerabilities on each host.
This Profiler then communicates with the VnE console which is used for centralised security reporting.
All communication between the IP360 appliances is encrypted and authenticated using 128-bit SSL, said Gus Malezis, VP of worldwide sales at nCircle.
Audrey Lyon (pictured), business development manager at Aquion said the distributor has already trained three high end consulting firms b-sec, SIFT and Answerz to specialise in providing services to the banking, finance and government sectors.
“What we want to do now is look at bringing on the same number of security-focused resellers to complete the channel strategy. The resellers we want are certainly not your mum and pop store,” Lyon said.
Lyon said the resellers did not have to provide ongoing services for the nCircle suite of products.
“We don’t want the resellers for their skills. We are interested in their relationships and how they can pull the products into their customers’ accounts,” she said.
Once the resellers sign with the distributor, they will then come under nCircle’s nAble Partner Program, said Lyon.
“The nAble program provides partners with targeted marketing, comprehensive sales tools, and access to service providers to help deliver product services and support to their customers,” she said.
