Melbourne-based Tonnex appointed as HP supplies sub-distributor.
Hewlett-Packard has appointed Melbourne-based Tonnex International as a supplies sub-distributor.
Tonnex claimed to have been working closely with HP on a range of programs in the past which have culminated in the sub-distributor status.
Leo Lynch, director of supplies at HP, said: “From a HP perspective, our Authorised Wholesalers (Ingram Micro, Phoenix Toner and Synnex) do an excellent job addressing the needs of the vast majority of the market, particularly those resellers on the HP Supplies “Managed” Channel Partner Program.
“However, there are some resellers who don’t meet the minimum criteria. For these “un-managed” resellers, they have the choice of buying from an Authorised HP Wholesaler or an Authorised Sub-Distributor such as Tonnex”.
George Solomon, Tonnex International director, said the firm is extremely happy to become a sub-distributor for HP who is predominately the market leader in the printer supplies business.
“We have always had a focus on quality and integrity which is well reflected in our promotion of original products through HP’s preferred channel. We are now looking forward to working together on current and future programs for mutually beneficial outcomes,” he said.
Solomon added the deal will give its resellers the ability to offer the HP Original Rewards program to their customers through selling the genuine HP supplies.
