Australian resellers will now be able to get their hands on Linksys’ new Cisco WRT54G2 which features the same design sported by the recent 'Ultra RangePlus' family of wireless-N routers.
Graeme Reardon, Linksys regional director Australia and New Zealand, told CRN the product “offers healthy margins to its reseller channel. Although for specifics, resellers need to contact their distributor for pricing.”
According to Reardon, the product is aimed primarily at those customers who are making their first jump to a Wireless network. “They may not yet need to speed or range of an "N" network, but want to 'Cut the Cord' so to speak,” he said.
Reardon said the WRT54G2 Wireless-G Broadband ships with the Linksys EasyLink Advisor (LELA) application, which is a software package designed to take away the technical hassle involved in setting up wireless network and will help to keep the network highly secure and connected.
“Helping to keep a network safe and secure can be configured with the WRT54G2. The WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) feature was designed to help make securing wireless devices easier,” said Reardon.
The WRT54G2 is the successor to Linksys' WRT54G router.
