After cementing its presence in the UK, Australian based security software company, Tier 3, is pushing to capture new business in Europe.

Steven Standring has been appointed as Tier 3's managing director Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Standring will be responsible for developing and leveraging the reputation of the company’s Huntsman security management technology on the continent. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the enterprise software industry at Tivoli, Works.com and OB10.

Standring said that his first job will be ensuring that customer needs and expectations are met by the Huntsman security solution.

"[I] look forward to building significant relationships with key consulting partners," he said.

Peter Woollacott, CEO at Tier-3, said, “Steve’s extensive experience in the software sector, and the increasing recognition of IT security and its role in data protection and compliance, will provide Tier-3 with the stewardship necessary to consolidate and broaden our activities in the UK and wider European market”.
