Altis informs with Kimball

Altis Consulting has partnered with Kimball Group to hold information management courses throughout A/NZ.

Local consultancy firm Altis Consulting will be holding courses in information management including data warehousing, business intelligence and data integration, through a partnership with the Kimball Group, a US-based data warehousing consulting and education organisation.

The series of forums will provide executives working in business intelligence, data warehousing and information management with access to Kimball University courses delivered by Ralph Kimball, a speaker and consultant in the field of data warehousing.

John Hoffman, general manager at Altis Consulting said the company had worked with Kimball University to deliver courses in Australia on the data warehouse lifecycle.

“The over-subscribed attendance at these events combined with the positive feedback we received from those who attended encouraged us to extend the relationship with Kimball Group,” he said.

“As a result, we’ll be able to close the gap in local knowledge for practical data warehousing solutions and provide Australian-based organisations with access to international best practice data warehousing course structure.”

Altis Consulting will host the Kimball University Dimensional Modeling in Depth course in Auckland, 11-14 March 2008, and Sydney, 17-20 March 2008. Registration for these courses is via the Altis web site (www.altis.com.au) and will open on 1 October 2007.
