EDITOR'S NOTE

Hello,

Last month disappeared into a Samsung black hole as the phone maker prepared to launch its highly-anticipated Galaxy S III handset in Australia.

The launch was accompanied by much fanfare and consumer interest - to a level unseen towards manufacturers that aren't Apple. We offered up all the information on pricing and specifications, as well as an up-close look and comparisons to its predecessor and current market competitors.

Other tech manufacturers fell by the wayside in the midst of the S III mania, but still managed a few interesting product releases. The likes of Lenovo, HP, Asus and Dell revealed their latest PC efforts, while Nokia's Lumia 900 and 610 launched in Australia.

Samsung's Galaxy S III hype wasn't enough to take away interest from Apple and its products however, with reports continuing to run wild over the likely shape of its new iPhone and Mac products.
