TransACT has resolved an outage on part of its fibre-to-the-home network in Canberra that took about 800 customers offline for almost 24 hours.
The ISP said in a status advisory that broadband services to users in the suburbs of Bonner, Crace, Forde and Franklin had been restored at 4pm on Thursday May 3.
Services were initially affected from Wednesday at 3.30pm.
The extended outage was attributed to an unspecified problem in one of six optical line terminals (OLTs) run by TransACT as part of its fibre network.
OLTs service as the point of origin for FTTP transmissions in and out of the TransACT network, according to DSLReports.com.
A handful of customers were still experiencing degraded speeds last night but remaining issues were being addressed by NOC staff, according to a Whirlpool post.
