A string of new tablets from major vendors have hit the market in the first half of 2016, though buyers will notice something different about the type of tablet that's in vogue these days - it's usually not just a tablet. The norm has become to produce a "2-in-1" tablet - which can be paired a detachable keyboard - in response to the massive success of Microsoft's Surface Pro series. Is it a tablet, or a laptop? The lines have blurred, especially since many new laptops also feature touch screens.
Still, with the first half of the year now behind us, we thought it would be wise to round up the 10 coolest new tablets (whether they're 2-in-1s or standalone "slate" tablets) that we've come across thus far, and that solution providers might consider for their mobility-seeking customers.
