Hyperconverged infrastructure came of age in 2016. What started with high-end converged gear from the likes of VCE became accessible to smaller customers through the arrival of technology emerging startups such as Nutanix and Simplivity.
In the past 12 months, many of the largest manufacturers got in on the act, with Dell EMC launching new appliances under its converged systems divisions (what was VCE) and Hewlett Packard Enterprise competing with rivals such as Cisco and Lenovo to drive its vision for this category.
At the 2016 CRN Fast50, we gathered three of the leading names from the nascent hyperconverged sector to discuss the opportunities for channel partners.
Chris Kelly - Executive director and general manager of infrastructure and solutions, Dell EMC Australia and New Zealand.
Chris Morgan - Vice president of global channels at Nutanix.
Raj Thakur - Vice president and general manager of hybrid IT, Hewlett Packard Enterprise Asia Pacific and Japan.
Host: Steven Kiernan - Editor, CRN.
