1. Datacom snatches $242m deal off IBM
After 15 years using IBM, the Department of Health signed with Datacom to the tune of $242 million, including some services previously provided by Accenture.
Speaking to CRN later in the year, Datacom representatives said the deal was outcome-based with a focus on SLAs, giving them more autonomy to make their own technology decisions.
The New Zealand-based brand has been steadily growing in Canberra, now boasting more than 300 people in the capital.
