Digital61 managed SOC achieves IRAP protected level assessment
Part of the company’s broader commitment to securing national assets.
Cloud-first systems and security integration services provider, Digital61 managed security operations centre (SOC) has achieved the IRAP Protected Level Assessment.
The company says this achievement underscores Digital61’s commitment to delivering high-quality, secure services that meet stringent Australian Government security standards.
Sunny Bhatia, chief information and digital officer at Digital61 told CRN Australia that completing the assessment is a part of our broader commitment to securing national assets and delivering services aligned with best-practice frameworks.
“We pursued the IRAP assessment to provide our customers with confidence that our Managed SOC meets the stringent security requirements set by the Australian Government for protected-level data,” he said.
The IRAP certification at the Protected level demonstrates Digital61's ability to securely handle and protect sensitive data, making it an ideal solution for government agencies and organisations requiring robust cybersecurity protections.
Bhatia said this accreditation strengthens trust in their capability to deliver sovereign, secure, and scalable cyber services.
“It allows us to support more sensitive workloads across government, enterprises, and critical infrastructure, while positioning Digital61 as a leading provider in a tightly regulated and high-stakes market,” he said.
Digital61’s customers will benefit from a government-accredited cybersecurity service that meets the highest data protection standards, Bhatia explained.
“Whether they’re already operating in Protected environments or planning to uplift their cyber posture, our offering ensures compliance, operational resilience, and rapid threat response—all delivered as a managed service,” he said.
Over the past year, Bhatia said he has seen cyber threats become more targeted, persistent, and coordinated—particularly against government and critical infrastructure.
“At the same time, there’s been an industry-wide push toward consolidation of platforms and services to reduce complexity. This environment demands a proactive, integrated approach to cybersecurity—exactly what our Managed SOC is built to deliver,” he explained.
Bhatia said the company is proud to be one of the few Australian providers to offer a fully managed, IRAP-assessed SOC at the Protected level.
“This milestone is not just about compliance—it’s about enabling our customers to focus on their mission while we protect their most valuable digital assets,” he said.
