Enterprise orchestration platform Workato has completed the Infosec Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessment to help the platform support Australian government agencies.

According to Workato, the assessment strengthens Workato’s ability to also support regulated enterprises in meeting stringent security expectations.

The IRAP assessment enables Workato to expand its presence in the Australian public sector and regulated industries, offering seamless system, data, and technology integration with the assurance that its platform has been independently assessed against Australian Government security requirements.

John Deeb, General Manager, ANZ, at Workato told CRN Australia, “Completing the IRAP assessment is about giving government agencies and regulated industries the peace of mind that Workato can support sensitive workloads with the highest security standards, and the confidence to modernise with a platform that meets their strict security and compliance expectations.

“This reflects Workato’s commitment to supporting Australian organisations with enterprise-grade orchestration that is both secure and scalable.”

Deeb noted that this IRAP assessment unlocks access to sectors where risk assessment is arduous and requires strict alignment to Australian government controls.

“Partners can integrate Workato solutions knowing they not only meet, but go beyond stringent government requirements and security standards of compliance and privacy,” he said.

“This, in turn, enables partners to deepen relationships in high-trust environments and bid for government tenders with confidence.”

The IRAP assessment was performed by an endorsed IRAP Assessor, providing an independent evaluation of Workato’s security controls.

This assessment evaluated Workato’s security posture against the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM) controls at the protected level.

The completion of the IRAP assessment adds to Workato’s broader global security achievements over the past three months, including the PCI DSS 4.01 Level 1 service provider as well as the ISO 27001, and ISO 27701 certifications.

Hans Gustavson, CISO at Workato said, “This milestone reinforces our focus on supporting Australian Government agencies and regulated enterprises with secure and resilient orchestration solutions.”

Workato also recently launched its AI and Automation Hub in Sydney in collaboration with the Tech Council of Australia.
