8x8 promotes Stephen Hamill to CRO
Hamill was previously the general manager, CPaaS.
AI-based contact centre platform 8x8 has appointed Stephen Hamill as its new chief revenue officer (CRO).
He was previously the general manager for CPaaS at 8x8/
Based in Singapore, this hire is based off his success driving global adoption of 8x8's CPaaS solutions.
In this role, Hamill said he will drive meaningful, sustainable growth through focus alignment, and channel-first execution for 8x8 across the globe.
“It’s also about working closely with everyone else at 8x8 so we are fully aligned,” he said.
“The aim is to be much more of a use case industry-focused company, and work with partners that are interested in driving long-term value with their customers.”
Having led the CPaaS side of the business previously, part of Hamill’s role as CRO includes responsibility for bringing together all of 8x8’s offerings in Australia, CPaaS, unified communications, and contact centre.
“That convergence is really exciting, because it allows us to deliver the full power of integrated communications to customers and partners,” he said.
“Companies are realising the value of connecting every touchpoint into a single, intelligent engagement experience – and that’s where 8x8 stands out.”
Hamill told CRN Australia that the CPaaS landscape in ANZ is evolving quickly and is now enjoying real momentum.
“When we combine that agility with the scale and reliability of our unified comms and contact centre platforms, it creates an incredibly strong proposition for customers looking to transform their customer engagement,” he said.
Hamill’s message to partners and resellers is that this convergence brings enormous opportunity and he hopes they can grasp it.
“They’re working closely with organisations that are redefining how they deliver customer experience, and can now offer complete, tailored solutions that meet those needs end to end,” he said.
Looking at the ANZ market, Hamill said they’re seeing a more mature and competitive market, which is a positive sign for the brand.
"It means stronger, more strategic partner relationships – and that’s a win for us,” he said.
“Our partners tell the 8x8 story in a way that truly resonates, far more effectively than any one-size-fits-all narrative ever could.”
Hamill begins his role immediately.
