Cisco Ben Dawson heading to Singapore as new APJC president

Previously led Australia and New Zealand for the networking giant.

Cisco has promoted Ben Dawson to president APJC where he will relocate to Singapore for the role.

As head of ANZ, Dawson worked closely with customers and partners to drive digital transformation and accelerate technology adoption.

As APJC president, Dawson will help partners and customers take advantage of AI opportunities in the market.

Speaking on his new role, Dawson explained to CRN Australia what his plans are for the channel in the APJC region.

“Asia Pacific, Japan, and Greater China is a region celebrated for its diversity and dynamism, and our partners are an integral part of Cisco’s heritage and success,” he said.

“Together, we are delivering transformative solutions in AI, cybersecurity, and next-generation networking to help customers achieve meaningful business outcomes.

“I am deeply committed to working side by side with our partners to accelerate growth, deepen technical capabilities, and unlock new opportunities for our customers across the region.”

He called this a “once-in-a-generation" opportunity.

“Throughout my career at Cisco, I’ve seen us help organizations navigate major technology transitions, from building the internet, to enabling cloud computing, and now shaping the future with AI,” he said.

Previously, Dawson was the head of Australia and New Zealand. He will replace Dave West who will step into the role of SVP global specialist.

West will leverage the insights gained while spearheading Cisco's growth and transformation across the globe.

In this position, West will lead a global team using his deep understanding of customer needs, Cisco's technology portfolio, and the invaluable insights gained while spearheading Cisco's growth and transformation across the globe.

Dawson will report to Oliver Tuszik, EVP global sales and chief sales officer. He begins his role on July 28, 2025.
