Check Point appoints David Caspari to lead ANZ channel strategy
Former Janison CEO will lead local operations with a focus on strengthening partner ties.
Check Point Software has appointed David Caspari as its new managing director for Australia and New Zealand with a focus on growing the local business by expanding customer and partner engagement.
Caspari has more than 20 years of leadership experience across cybersecurity, cloud, SaaS and services in ANZ. His most recent position was CEO of Janison, where he repositioned the company into a platform leader and expanded government partnerships.
Under his leadership, the cybersecurity specialist will continue deepening engagement with partners through advanced training, certifications and margin-enhancing programs. It will also selectively bring in new partners to address emerging opportunities such as email security.
With businesses facing new threat surfaces, AI, regulatory pressure and rising customer complexity, the need for trusted partners has never been more critical, Caspari noted.
“Cybersecurity is crowded and complex, creating real administrative challenges for customers and partners. But it also creates opportunity: those who simplify and deliver integrated solutions will become the trusted advisors of choice,” he told CRN Australia.
Across the industry, pricing models are shifting from upfront product licensing and sales towards pay-as-you-go (PAYG), subscription and managed services models.
Caspari said Check Point is already embracing this change and leading with strong MSSP and PAYG practices across ANZ.
“This will remain a strategic focus, enabling partners to grow recurring revenue and deepen customer relationships,” he said.
As Check Point shifts toward cloud-delivered, platform-based solutions, Caspari’s previous platform experience is well suited to guide customers and partners in this transition.
“Check Point is uniquely positioned to simplify operations, reduce cost and create new growth for partners. Whether as MSSP, PAYG or traditional models, our platform approach delivers flexibility and differentiation,” he said.
Caspari underlined that Check Point’s growth in ANZ will be anchored in a prevention-first, platform-led strategy, with distributors playing a central role in supporting the ecosystem.
“Working closely with distributors we’re committed to ensuring all partners, from GSIs to resellers, receive the highest levels of support,” he added.
