SAP consultancy DyFlex Solutions has acquired Bluetree, an SAP partner to grow its footprint in the Australian market as it aims to accelerate AI adoption amongst its customers.

The new entity has a combined team of 270 staff bringing customers expertise in SAP S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Datasphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud - delivering a full-stack, AI-ready offering for customers across the private and public sectors.

The Bluetree brand will continue to operate in the short term, with a transition to the DyFlex brand planned in the coming months.

The focus remains on delivering a seamless experience for all customers and offering new opportunities for staff development and cross-skilling across domains.

Angus Knapp CFO at Dyflex told CRN Australia why they bought Bluetree.

“Bluetree is a specialist SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) & SAP Datasphere partner that has deep expertise working with clients to optimise their Data, Analytics, Planning and Reporting systems and processes,” he said.

“While DyFlex has built significant capability in this space, Bluetree are recognised by SAP as genuine market leaders, previously winning ANZ Partner of the Year Award for Service Delivery and ANZ Partner Excellence Awards for Platform & Technologies and Sustainability.”

He added, “They have built an impressive footprint in public sector, particularly across Australian & New Zealand Federal Governments, NSW Government and Queensland Government – being a trusted provider for clients such as the Australian Department of Defence and Sunwater.”

Bluetree was founded by Alan Contreas, Bernhard Jantschgi and Christopher Kaszelik with a vision to bring innovative enterprise technology solutions to their clients.

This move comes just five months after DyFlex secured investment from Five V Capital to support expansion and acquisitions.

Knapp said this acquisition elevates its SAC planning and analytics and datasphere practices alongside DyFlex’s S/4HANA and SuccessFactors offerings.

“DyFlex and Bluetree joining forces really provides a compelling value proposition for our customers and both our teams, which reaffirms our businesses as a leading destination for SAP professionals seeking the best projects to work on,” he said.

Peter Lander, managing director at DyFlex Solutions said the acquisition reinforces DyFlex’s position as a “dynamic and flexible alternative to the global systems integrators”.

“Where our hands-on consultants not only manage but also lead our delivery. Customers benefit from local teams, strong leadership involvement, and accelerated outcomes. They can now with an expanded suite of services and deeper expertise,” he said.

Lander said the company’s ambition is that this announcement marks the creation of fantastic new opportunities for both Bluetree and DyFlex people.

“Winning and working on ambitious new projects as a part of a growing company is always an exciting journey to be a part of. We are privileged that Chris, Bernhard and Alan have chosen to join DyFlex, continue to lead Bluetree and join our executive committee. We are now working hard with them to ensure we realise our collective ambition,” he said.

From a technology perspective, the partnership also sets the stage for expanded AI capability within the SAP ecosystem. Bluetree’s strength in analytics and data strategy enables DyFlexto build on SAP’s Business Data Cloud and drive next-gen innovation for clients.

Knapp ended, “With a strong foothold in both Australia and New Zealand, and an expanding portfolio of private and public sector clients, the new entity is well positioned to continue its growth trajectory - and remain a top choice for SAP customers who value both capability and care.”
