Australian service provider Kinetic IT has appointed Jacqui Adams as its new head of digital transformation and national services.

In her new role, Jacqui will oversee Kinetic IT’s digital platforms, national service frameworks, shared services, and transformation program offerings.

Her focus will be on simplifying service practices, improving national alignment, and ensuring Kinetic IT’s delivery models scale to meet evolving customer expectations.

With over 20 years’ experience across enterprise strategy, AI and automation, digital transformation, and program governance, Jacqui has led significant reform initiatives across Defence, Services Australia, KPMG, and multiple critical industry sectors.

Speaking with CRN Australia, Adam explained what excited her about this role at Kinetic IT.

"I was excited to shape the next stage of growth for a sovereign MSP that plays a critical role in supporting key sectors including defence, education, public safety, and transport,” she said.

“Of note, it was both Kinetic IT's leadership team and strong reputation for putting customers and communities first that attracted me to the role.

“The digital transformation role sits at the intersection of strategy and delivery - the sweet spot for accelerating enduring and meaningful change."

Adams explained as the tech industry faces continued disruption, there is a “need for transformation” both within Kinetic IT and in their customers' environments.

“My focus for the first 12 months is to ensure Kinetic IT is organised in a manner that supports our strategy, ensuring we are positioned to grow as a trusted partner that collaboratively modernises, simplifies and optimises our customers' technology ecosystems,” she said.

“We know transformation sticks when improving customer and staff experience is a priority - this is something that will require curiosity and a deep understanding of the environments in which Kinetic IT and our customers operate in."

By focusing on improved customer, staff and citizen experiences, Adams is looking to mitigate organisational barriers that arise when seeking to simplify, streamline and modernise ICT business services.

“These include misaligned priorities, siloed operating models, maturing governance frameworks, and poor data foundations,” she explained.

“From a workforce perspective, our customers are seeking to increase data and digital literacy and capability to support transformation efforts while navigating legacy systems.

“These problems aren't insurmountable but solving them requires a deep understanding of our customers' value chains to collaboratively co-design and deliver evidence-based solutions that can be operationalised and sustained."

Adams breaks down what opportunities she sees in the market when it comes to digital transformation.

“Launching from a meaningful 'why' and 'how', the common 'what' opportunities include improving data governance and secure data sharing, strengthening cyber security practices, optimising cloud arrangements.

“Automating rules-based and repeatable workflows, using AI safely and ethically to improve decision-making by an organisation's workforce and ensuring our customers' ICT operating models enable their strategy.”

Her appointment supports Kinetic IT’s long-term strategy to enhance operational performance, invest in digital modernisation, and deliver high-quality services at a national scale.
