Security vendor Rapid7 has appointed Soumi Mukherjee as its new ANZ sales director to help accelerate regional growth.

Mukherjee has more than 20 years’ experience in leading sales team. She will be responsible for supporting organisations in securing their environments.

“Cybersecurity is a constantly evolving space, and I’m excited to help our customers take a more proactive, intelligent approach to managing risk,” Mukherjee said in a statement.

“Rapid7 has a strong culture of innovation and collaboration, and I’m looking forward to building on that foundation as we support more organisations on their security journey.”

She told CRN Australia how important she sees the channel as a sales director.

“The channel is central to Rapid7’s strategy in ANZ, as partners bring trust, expertise, and the ability to deliver tailored solutions to customers,” Mukherjee said.

“Each of our partners provide value beyond the product, such as deployment, managed services, and solving complex customer challenges.”

The Australian channel is evolving, with consolidation and new partner inquiries creating opportunities, Mukherjee said.

“Rapid7 sees potential in leveraging boutique providers and larger players to address diverse customer needs, with a focus on building win-win relationships and capitalising on the growing demand for security solutions and services,” she noted.

Mukherjee joined Rapid7 in 2018 from Interlock Technologies, where she was an Account Director.

“Mukherjee has been a key contributor to our success in the region,” said Rob Dooley, APJ Vice President and General Manager, Rapid7.

“Her leadership, technical acumen, and customer focus make her the ideal person to lead our ANZ sales team as we expand our presence and continue helping businesses stay ahead of emerging threats,” he added.
