Nick Kempt has been promoted to Riverbed’s director of customer success and professional services APJ, with a mandate to deliver strong customer value across the Riverbed platform.

He’s spent almost four years at Riverbed in specialist and leadership roles across the wider region with earlier roles in public sector agencies overseeing IT solutions and design.

Kempt will be responsible for customer engagement strategy, professional services delivery, solution optimisation and cross-functional collaboration with sales, product and marketing teams.

“Our goal is to deliver exceptional digital experiences and solve real world problems, delivering business value to customers,” he said.

The immediate focus will be supporting customers with AI adoption as organisations consolidate IT tools and the team will be working hand-in-hand with channel partners.

“Riverbed is a channel-first business and the channel is at the heart of how we deliver value to our customers across APJ,” Kempt told CRN Australia.

Riverbed specialises in collecting and analysing IT operations data and applying AI and automation is central to its functionality. Its partner program includes a select group of systems integrators and managed service providers that can support AI initiatives.

“AI solutions are developing at a rapid pace, and successful adoption is predicated on working with partners that truly understand how to design, implement, operate and optimise the Riverbed Platform effectively in a customer environment,” he said.

ROI driving regional AI adoption

Enterprises across Asia-Pacific are investing heavily in AI while moving beyond experimentation and putting ROI at the heart of AI adoption, according to industry analysis.

Kempt will lead an integrated team that of professional services, architects and technical experts focused on aligning technical expertise with customer business outcomes with a strong regional focus.

“APJ is one of the most dynamic markets globally, with enterprises moving fast to adopt AIOps for observability that helps remove blind spots and reduce complexity,” he said.

Together with its local partners, Riverbed plans to work closely with customers that are seeking to modernise operations, achieve scale and reduce vendor sprawl.

“We see our channel partners as an extension of the Riverbed team, rising to the challenge to guide organisations through transformation and showcase the power of AIOps across the enterprise to deliver real business results with strong ROI,” he told CRN Australia.

To capitalise on the regional opportunities, Riverbed will pair advanced technology solutions with trusted partners that have local experience.

“Our ability to pair world-class observability technology with strong local partner ecosystems makes us uniquely positioned to lead in this region,” he ended.
