SureCity Networks selects Martin Littlewood as its new CISO
In his role, he will lead the development and acceleration of the brand’s governance, risk and compliance practice.
SureCity Networks has appointed Martin Littlewood as its new CISO where he will lead the development and acceleration of the company’s governance, risk and compliance (GRC) practice.
In his role at SureCity Networks, he will also take ownership of the company’s ISO 27001 program, guiding its continued evolution and ensuring best-practice alignment across internal operations.
Across his career, he has held senior leadership roles at SecurePay, Whispir, Sportsbet, and Nissan, where he was instrumental in strengthening security posture, driving compliance maturity, and embedding robust risk-management frameworks.
Littlewood told CRN Australia, the cyber threat landscape is challenging and companies and individuals are increasingly falling victim to scams, extortion and disruption.
“I've always been passionate about helping protect businesses and their customers and working for SureCity Networks as a trusted partner will allow me to extend that mission to many organisations,” he said.
Tim Kirk, founder at SureCity Networks said Littlewood’s experience and leadership in GRC make him an “exceptional addition” to the SureCity Networks team.
“His strategic outlook and proven track record in building high-performance security programs will be invaluable as we continue to scale and support our customers in navigating an increasingly complex cyber landscape,” he said.
According to the Kirk, many customers struggle with operationalising security standards and frameworks across their organisation.
“The challenge is turning ISM controls into practical, repeatable business processes that produce real-time outcomes, rather than treating compliance as a once-a-year exercise,” Kirk said.
“Littlewood will focus on embedding these controls into day-to-day operations so they deliver ongoing value rather than just audit readiness.”
In his role, Littlewood will also help develop the company’s SOC/SOAR capability.
“Our AI-powered SOC and SOAR capability delivers real-time threat detection, triage, and response by combining advanced analytics with automated AI-powered playbooks,” Kirk said.
“This allows us to identify and contain threats significantly faster while reducing analyst workload and improving overall security outcomes for our customers.”
Littlewood explains what he is looking forward to in this new role.
“Developing the GRC practice offerings, helping customers solve common challenges including real time posture assessment and visibility which are crucial to mitigating cyber risk especially as threat actors adopt AI,” he said.
“Ensuring SureCity Networks continues to be a world class trusted brand is also a priority.”
