Aussie Broadband launches full SASE offering for its customers
First telco in Australia to productise Fortinet’s SASE.
Telco Aussie Broadband has launched its fully managed secure access service edge (SASE) solution adding security to its national data network.
Aussie Broadband tapped into Fortinet’s SASE offering, making it the first telco in Australia to do so.
The telco said this compliments its existing SD-WAN, cloud, and connectivity services.
Agim Isai, general manager enterprise and government sales at Aussie Broadband said, “We are expanding our enterprise portfolio by adding security to our national data network.
“It’s a natural extension to our data platform that gives customers a secure, high performance way to connect people, applications, and data from any location.”
Isai said Aussie Broadband’s new SASE offering gives their customers “a single, secure solution” that combines connectivity and protection in one managed service built on their national data network.
The solution is designed for fast deployment, enforce consistent policies and performance with centralised visibility across users, applications and devices, whether on premises or remote.
He noted that there has been a demand from their customers to have a SASE offering.
“Many of our enterprise and government customers have been asking for stronger, more integrated security with their connectivity,” he said.
“This solution adds that capability directly into our national data network, giving them confidence and control over their networks.”
Isai said Aussie Broadband chose Fortinet because their platform delivers security that integrates seamlessly with their national data network.
“The strong trusted partnership that we have developed over the years with Fortinet ensures we can provide customers with a complete, reliable, and secure solution,” he noted.
John Milionis, channel director ANZ, at Fortinet said, “By combining Fortinet’s industry-leading unified SASE architecture with Aussie Broadband’s proven managed service expertise, we’re helping Australian businesses securely connect users, applications and data —anywhere, anytime— while simplifying operations and enhancing performance.”
