Atturra partners with Australian Payroll Association to modernise payroll solutions
Partnership to benefit Atturra’s client base to help people understand the importance of payroll.
Solution provider Atturra has signed a strategic industry partnership agreement with the Australian Payroll Association (APA) to simplify, optimise, and modernise payroll solutions across Australia.
Both companies want to help thousands of businesses and payroll professionals who rely on efficient, compliant, and strategically aligned payroll operations.
The collaboration between the APA and Atturra will see Atturra's Payroll and HR offering delivered to the market. According to the company, it will deliver a strategic, solution-oriented approach that prioritises business outcomes over product sales.
The partnership will provide significant value to Atturra's clients by ensuring they benefit from APA's knowledge and expertise, in addition to Atturra's specialist skills and delivery capabilities which combine people, process and technology to pinpoint compliance gaps, operational risk and opportunities for improvement.
Heather Pettenon, general manager of strategic markets at Atturra said payroll doesn’t just consist of just systems and undertaking manual updates to comply with the latest legislation.
“It’s a combination of people, process and technology and by partnering with the APA we’ll be able to have a seat at the table to influence and shape the market,” she said.
“We’re positioning an alternative solution focused on payroll operationalisation by leveraging our strengths in technology, project management, change, data, and analytics to bridge the gap between advisory and execution.
“This partnership gives us a platform to deliver truly integrated outcomes that traditional advisory firms and standalone vendors can’t match.”
Nikita Potter, general manager for payroll and HR services at Atturra said the APA is looking to grow its network of like-minded payroll people to raise the importance of payroll.
“Payroll isn’t defined by someone at a desk with a calculator anymore, it’s a profession that requires ongoing training and knowledge exchange,” she said.
Potter explained the technology they will use with the APA.
She said, “Our main technology platforms are Frontier Software’s ichris HR software suite, Aurion payroll and HR software, and TechnologyOne but with the changing landscape we are growing our expertise in Dayforce, Workday, Employment Hero, SAP, ReadyTech and Oracle.”
Potter said Atturra is "excited” to be part of an evolving industry which was once seen as a back-office function with payroll teams forgotten unless something went wrong.
“We want to foster elevating awareness of the importance of payroll in organisations in support of ongoing business improvement,” she added.
As part of the partnership Atturra will now be listed in The APA’s software directory service that guides its membership base of 7,000 payroll professionals in their technology decisions.
