Channel Guru launches platform to help MSPs evolve into modern solution providers
Founder, Brad Clarke believes the new Tech Partner Operating System is the first of its kind.
Channel Guru has launched its new Tech Partner Operating System (TPOS) to help MSPs become modern technology solution providers.
Brad Clarke, founder at Channel Guru told CRN Australia after years in the channel, including nearly two decades at Microsoft, he saw a pattern.
“The most successful tech partners weren’t just good at selling or marketing; they ran incredibly efficient, well-structured operations,” he said.
“But there was no unified framework or platform to help partners operate like top-tier businesses. That’s why we launched the TPOS platform to build leaner, smarter, and faster operations that drive real growth.”
According to Channel Guru, TPOS is a product-based platform that helps technology partners build “operational maturity”.
It does this by testing performance across 1,200 maturity points, mapped to the design of a modern tech solution provider (TSP).
Partners assess their organisation across 10 key categories, with 51 sub-categories and over 1,000 actionable steps, all surfaced through a dashboard that guides leaders toward the most impactful next step to take, today.
Through this new platform, Clarke said their goal is to help TSPs move from reactive to strategic — giving them structure, insight, and control.
“We want partners to use TPOS to: gain full visibility into their business operational performance, benchmark themselves against peers, standardise operations across teams, build leadership maturity and accountability, and free up time to innovate and grow,” he said.
“Ultimately, we want every partner to feel more in control — running their business with confidence and clarity, backed by data and process, not guesswork.”
Clarke believes that TPOS is the only framework in existence that truly focuses on the 10 key areas that make up a modern TSP.
“Unlike other offerings that focus narrowly on sales or marketing, we focus on operational excellence — showing partners what an operational powerhouse looks like,” he said.
“TPOS gives partners visibility into their operational performance, benchmarking against industry peers, and the tools, resources, and platform their entire leadership team can use to improve efficiency.
“And importantly, we’ve made it accessible and affordable for all tech partners — not just the largest ones.”
Clarke said Channel Guru has worked with some of the best minds in the space, like their recent hire James Davis, to ensure the framework is “practical, data-driven, and grounded in real-world success”.
“But our focus is firmly on helping every partner modernise through independence, transparency, and empowerment,” he explained.
Looking at the market, Clarke said he hasn’t seen any framework anywhere that truly captures what defines a modern TSP.
“The traditional MSP business model is dense, mature, and under strain, and as a result, nearly 46 percent of partners today aren’t profitable,” he explained.
“Customer acquisition is harder than ever, and margins are shrinking. TPOS was built to address that gap, giving partners the insight and operational maturity they need to transform, modernise, and build sustainable profitability.”
