Cohesity has introduced a new partner program that consolidates Cohesity and Veritas programs following the integration of the two companies in late 2024.

“We selected the best elements from the respective programs, with the purpose of aligning the new program with our key milestones of integrated product roadmap and streamlining of go-to-market capabilities,” Peter Hanna, VP channel and alliances APJ, Cohesity said.

The new Cohesity Aspire Program is designed to simplify partner engagement, help strengthen technical capabilities and create new paths for differentiation and growth.

“Our goal is to empower partners to respond to changing customer needs with agility, confidence and a future-ready framework that supports long-term success,” Hanna explained.

The data security specialist is responding to growing customer demands for cyber resiliency and AI-driven transformation.

“There is a huge talent gap in both AI and the cybersecurity space. The fact that companies such as META are offering lucrative, above-market remuneration for the top AI talent has certainly highlighted the market demand,” Hanna said.

As part of formulating the new program, Cohesity consulted partners across ANZ, Korea and ASEAN markets to understand the twin customer challenges of AI-driven transformation and the growing scale and complexity of cyber threats.

“Organisations are modernising rapidly while facing an unprecedented rise in the occurrence of cyber incidents. Simultaneously, the partner landscape is evolving with more diverse business models and growing demand for tailored, AI-driven solutions,” Hanna told CRN Australia.

The new program is designed to provide different types of partnership, with paths for valued added resellers, managed services, global system integrators and distribution, and to allow customers flexibility to choose their consumption models.

“It places emphasis on providing strong rewards for effort. This means that as partners invest more with Cohesity and deliver greater results, there are significantly increased accelerators for mutual profitability and growth,” he said.

Local partners tackle rising customer complexity

Across the ANZ market, customers are moving toward subscription-based models and hybrid cloud architectures.

The move to subscription models align with modern IT and cloud services, help simplify capacity planning and allow customer businesses to scale up when needed.

“With lower TCO and upfront costs, customers will have faster access to innovation and new features, enabling them to capitalise on emerging technologies like AI and accommodate shifts in their business models,” Hanna noted.

As a result, Hanna said partners are being asked to deliver more, from compliance support to professional services, all while navigating increasingly extensive and complex environments.

“Aspire is built to help partners meet these demands with the scale and technical enablement needed to succeed in today’s market,” he said.

Locally, organisations are also seeking integrated services that go beyond point solutions and adopting a cyber resilience posture to respond, recover and protect their data and maintain continuity in the event of an attack.

Hanna said, “This shift reflects how organisations across ANZ are rethinking their approach, not just defending against threats, but preparing for rapid response.”

Cohesity has the largest amount of data under management, giving it the advantage of having greater insights into the cybersecurity threats lurking in the market, according to Hanna.

“By bringing together Cohesity and Veritas, we now offer the broadest range of workload support and one of the largest partner ecosystems in the industry,” Hanna ended.
