NinjaOne acquires Melbourne-based Dropsuite for $418m
In a move to help its customers unify endpoint, server and SaaS application backup use cases.
Automated endpoint management company NinjaOne has bought Melbourne-based Dropsuite for $418m (US$270m) in a move to bolster its backup capabilities.
With the addition of Dropsuite, NinjaOne customers can unify endpoint, server, and SaaS application backup use cases, delivering a single interface for IT and enhanced productivity for employees.
Erzan Uygur, VP, business and corporate development, told CRN Australia how this will impact NinjaOne’s partner community.
He said increasing the company’s investment in the partner community is the cornerstone of their post-acquisition integration strategy.
“Dropsuite’s partner-first approach to GTM and their decade-long track record of success in the partner community align perfectly with our long-term strategic bet on the global partner community,” Uygur said.
“Thanks to this acquisition, we get to expand our partner network in Australia and APAC broadly, while substantially increasing in-region headcount and resource investments to better serve our customers.”
Uygur said both companies and the partners are “excited” about the product and new use cases this acquisition brings to the table.
“ANZ and APAC have been, and will continue to be, priority markets for NinjaOne, and we look forward to investing more in the success of our partners and customers in the region,” he added.
Through the Dropsuite acquisition, NinjaOne now has a unified backup suite that provides secure automated backup across endpoints, servers, M365, and Google Workspace, as well as real-time email archiving.
By unifying these use cases in a single platform, organisations at any scale simplify work for employees and IT, and gain robust data protection, simplified backup workflows, and a stronger security and compliance posture.
Commenting on the deal, Charif El-Ansari, CEO at Dropsuite said, “Together with NinjaOne, we’re even better suited to make our customers successful with one integrated console that automates endpoint and SaaS application backup.
“We will continue to solve our customers’ biggest challenges together.”
MJ Robotham, managing director APAC at NinjaOne said this deal has expanded the company’s backup capabilities for their Australian customers and doubled down on our commitment to the region.
“With a rapidly growing team and customer base, Australia remains a thriving market for NinjaOne, and we can’t wait to see what this move will achieve for the company, and more importantly, our customers,” he ended.
