ArgentEdge launches Gemini practice to help customers scale with Agentic AI
The new practice will be available for Australian and New Zealand customers.
Google Cloud consultancy ArgentEdge has launched a Gemini Practice for the Australia and New Zealand region to help customers deploy and scale agentic AI.
This new practice will help organisations plan, build and deploy enterprise-grade agentic AI solutions on Google’s Gemini platform, from agent design and development through to implementation, integration and managed delivery.
Glenn Irvine, founder and CEO of ArgentEdge has been a Google Premier Partner for more than 16 years, and saw the rise of Gemini was “unprecedented”.
“I felt the time was right to specialise in this, and to found a company dedicated to this pursuit as a pure-play Google partner,” he told CRN Australia.
“The Gemini Enterprise Practice decision followed the Partner Summit in June where Google outlined the significant growth expectations for partner services support over the next 3 years. We decided to lean into that with this investment.”
Irvine believes this will experience “significant growth” over the next few years, and they will look to retrain a number of IT industry people and graduates to support that growth.
“There are a lot of partners who are leaning on off-shoring these skills, and we hope to bring the benefit of local skills into the arena with only a healthy blend of off-shore talent, and the added benefit of local market and industry knowledge,” he said.
According to Irvine, they can assist customers with discount bundling options that are only available through a partner rather than buying Gemini online.
“We can also assist them with analysing their processes and building some of their early agents, skills and workflows,” he explained.
“Our team can assist with implementation and deployment of the Gemini Enterprise environment, and guide customers on the initiatives that will bring real value to their organisations.
He added, “Some of this is also based on knowledge of the limitations of Gemini and other AI platforms, but also prior experience in Open AI and Anthropic for replacement strategies.”
The practice also coincides with the launch of their ArgentEdge Academy which is helping customers learn how to build agentic AI agents.
“I'm a firm believer in building local skills, and I was seeing two trends happening in Australia. Organisations and vendors pushing more work off-shore, and our ICT Graduates wondering if there was an industry for them at the end of an ICT/AI Degree,” he explained.
Irvine said they established two tracks in the academy to address these issues.
“One for well established industry Business Analysts, Application Developers and Solution Architects, to 'Re-jig' their skills into the fastest growing AI Platform in the market and provide them (and us) with certified skills to meet the need and also increase their employability,” he said.
“Second, we wanted to guide undergraduates in the final year of their studies into certification learning pathways that provide the necessary skills to gain early career employment as Junior Agent Builders and Analysts.
“We feel the Academy meets both these needs and our growth demands and provides the training and certification to these candidates at no cost to them.”
