Beau Hodge has officially become Baidam’s new CEO after sitting as the acting chief executive for the past nine months.

Now that he has the official title of CEO, Hodge wants to “maintain, if not accelerate” the company’s growth trajectory.

"But I’m not just talking about financial goals – my priorities include growing our ability to support our customers and driving the breadth and depth of social impacts that set our business apart,” he told CRN Australia.

Spending nearly a year as acting CEO, Hodge said he has had the opportnity to identify and plan for the challenges they face.

“The first is the speed of change,” he said.

“Here, my focus will be on building out our technical capabilities in both managed and professional services. We need to remain agile and responsive to the market and the evolving cyber landscape – so staying on our toes will be critical.

“My other primary area of focus will be ensuring we stay true to our goal of building ICT career pathways for First Nations people. It’s our primary purpose, and it needs to be front and centre of who we are.”

For Baidam’s customers, Hodge assures its business as usual.

“Baidam will continue to create and enable impacts with the support of our customers. And we will continue to enhance our technical capabilities to support our customers in the ever-changing threat landscape,” he explained.

He said he "unashamedly” loves change and the challenges that come with it.

“Cybersecurity is a dynamic and diverse industry; it’s vitally important both for our customers and for national security. Being part of this industry means I never stop learning,” he said.

Hodge joined Baidam as CFO in 2021, took on the COO role, and in 2025, he served as acting CEO for nine months before accepting the permanent CEO role this month.

Pip Jenkinson, co-founder at Baidam said in a statement Hodge’s decision is a “huge gain” for the MSP.

“His years of experience with Baidam in other C-level roles have all contributed to his ability to naturally transition into the CEO position,” she stated.

Hodge will be based in Brisbane.
