Chris Casey promoted to managing director of AWS ANZ
Previously was the director of AWS partnerships in APJ.
Chris Casey has been promoted to the managing director of AWS ANZ, a new role for the organisation.
Casey led AWS’ partner business for the past two years, and announced his new promotion on stage at the AWS Summit Sydney keynote earlier this week.
Commenting on his new role on Linkedin he said, “To have the honour of leading AWS across ANZ through its next chapter is the professional privilege of a lifetime.”
“To the AWS APJ builders and partners I’ve worked with over the past two years, thank you, for your trust, energy, and willingness to go after something bigger than any one of us could achieve ourselves,” he added.
Pip Gilbert is the recently announced Head of Partner for Australia and New Zealand. She spent the last five years at AWS, leading strategy and operations for ANZ.
She has seen the numbers behind every partner engagement, every co-sell motion, and every customer transformation in this region.
Speaking directly to his partners, “I’m not going far and I can’t wait to continue build with you across ANZ.
“I remain inspired by today and relentless about tomorrow. I can wait to be a part of the incredible work across Australia and New Zealand.”
He replaces Rianne van Veldhuizen, who announced her departure from the company at AWS Summit Sydney. She has not announced her next role yet.
Casey acknowledged her departure, “Rianne, your leadership in ANZ has changed what’s possible for the customers and communities we serve.
“Thank you for the remarkable foundation you've built here: the culture, the momentum, the people. That's a legacy I don't take lightly and I'm proud to carry it forward.”
