Hope McGarry promoted to VP and country CEO at Ingram Micro Australia

McGarry has been at the helm of the distributor’s Aussie arm since March 2025.

Hope McGarry has begun her year at Ingram Micro Australia with a new promotion.

The regional leader for the distributor will now be the vice president and country CEO at the Australian arm. She was previously the executive managing director at the distributor.

Announcing her promotion on LinkedIn, McGarry said she is “incredibly proud” to continue to lead the business.

“It’s a true privilege to work in our incredible industry, one that has given me so much,” she said.

She continues, “To my team, thank you for the trust, partnership, and commitment you bring every day and for making me look good.”

McGarry began working at Ingram Micro Australia in October 2022 as the director, advanced solutions and specialty group. She was appointed executive managing director of the distie in March 2025.

In the post, she thanks the vendors and customers.

“Thank you for the confidence you place in my leadership and the team and for continually challenging us to be better,” she said.

“And to my peers and colleagues across the world at Ingram Micro, I’m grateful for the collaboration and shared ambition. A special thank you to Tim Ament [SVP US sales and services] for teaching me as much about Ingram Micro as you did about leadership, and for encouraging me to dream big and lead authentically.”

McGarry also thanked her boss, EVP and group president of Asia Pacific at Ingram Micro, Diego Utge for his guidance.

“And to the Ingram Global SLT for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to lead at the next level. Feeling very grateful to get to do what I love,” she ended.
