Karen Hannify has joined Rockwell Automation as its head of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) sector alliances in APAC.

Hannify previously spent close to two decades with IBM, where she held senior roles focusing on partner strategy and growth.

“My time at IBM taught me how to leverage partnerships and alliances to create mutually beneficial outcomes,” Hannify told CRN Australia.

“At IBM my responsibilities spanned both global and regional levels and included leading worldwide partner programs and heading the Asia Pacific partner programs team.

Her goal for the first six months at Rockwell Automation is to focus on developing and deepening relationships with EPC organisations across APAC, along with growing Rockwell Automation’s relationships by formalising trusted partnerships with these EPC firms.

Hannify said the Rockwell Automation role attracted her because of the opportunity to launch a new dedicated alliance program for EPC organisations designed to bring together technology and construction.

She is also interested in being able to accelerate business opportunities for Rockwell Automation’s EPC partners through being able to stand up factories on time, on budget and with customer-driven outcomes.

Hannify will work with partners through key account managers and industry teams to drive specification influence and support business development activities.

“In my new role I will be responsible for defining and managing the EPC partner ecosystem and will focus on aligning delivery and technology partners with key growth opportunities,” she explained.

Her role spans APAC, and includes partnership development, program execution and revenue growth. Hannify will also analyse market conditions, develop annual business plans and respond to RFQs, along with implementing strategies to expand market reach.

She commenced her role in January and is based out of Rockwell Automation’s Sydney office.
