JFrog appoints Genefa Murphy as its new CMO
Murphy has decades of GTM experience under her belt, and was recently the chief marketing and content officer of Udemy.
DevOps company JFrog has appointed Genefa Murphy as its new chief marketing officer.
According to the company, the appointment strengthens JFrog’s executive bench as enterprises look to scale AI driven software development with trust and security.
She has decades under her belt as a go-to-market leader working with the likes of HPE, Micro Focus, and Udemy. She was most recently the chief marketing and content officer at Udemy.
Murphy told CRN Australia that what excites her the most about the Australian IT channel right now is the variety of investment.
“Whether it's AI and ML moving from POCs to production, the focus on data protection or the increased investment in cybersecurity,” she said.
“With AI models, packages, datasets, and agents entering the mix, the software supply chain just got a lot bigger and a lot riskier.
“This means securing and governing the AI-powered software supply chain is now a strategic imperative for organisations looking to operate trusted releases, and that’s where JFrog thrives, with existing and new offerings.”
As the APAC market continues to thrive, Murphy said the company’s combined efforts with local partners helps drive automation, enhance security, and ensures trusted software releases across sectors.
“By enabling customers to build scalable, future-ready solutions whether on-prem or in the cloud we can help them accelerate their innovation and growth throughout the region,” she added.
Commenting on her appointment, CEO Shlomi Ben Haim said, “JFrog sets the standard for responsible AI adoption and plays a mission-critical role as the system of record for all software packages. Murphy’s proven ability to accelerate growth will be instrumental as we leap forward."
Murphy will oversee JFrog’s global marketing organisation from its United States headquarters in Sunnyvale, California.
