SentinelOne appoints new channel director, ANZ and APJ Distribution
Shabeel Shah has held several leadership positions at Obsidian Security and Arrow Electronics.
AI security platform SentinelOne has appointed Shabeel Shah as its new channel director for the Australian, New Zealand, and the APJ distribution region.
He will be responsible for expanding the company's reseller and distribution partner ecosystem across Australia, New Zealand, and APJ, deepening partner profitability, and ensuring robust enablement and programme differentiation in the market.
Shah has held several channel leadership positions at SentinelOne, Obsidian Security and Arrow Electronics.
He told CRN Australia he is focused on deepening partner relationships, accelerating distribution growth, and strengthening the company’s channel ecosystem across Australia, New Zealand, and APJ.
“I bring extensive experience in channel and partner development across the technology and cybersecurity sectors, including leadership roles at Obsidian Security and Arrow Electronics,” he said.
“That experience, together with a strong track record in driving revenue growth and market expansion, will help me support SentinelOne’s continued momentum across the region.”
Shah sees "major opportunity” in helping partners navigate the shift as AI reshapes how organisations think about cybersecurity.
“We believe partners that can lead through this change will help define the market and deliver the security outcomes customers need in an increasingly complex threat landscape.
“The market is shifting away from the legacy SOC to AI SecOps - we’re leading that transition.”
The threat landscape across ANZ and APJ has fundamentally shifted with AI, Shah noted.
“This has increased demand for AI-driven cybersecurity and raised the importance of helping organisations defend against technically evolved nation state actors and adversaries,” he said.
For Shah, what stands out to him in this region is the strong momentum and the “critical role” partners play in delivering outcomes for customers.
“It is a market where demand for AI-driven cybersecurity is growing quickly, and where there is a real opportunity to help partners scale, innovate and grow. It’s an early adopter market and the transition to AI SecOps is happening now,” he explained.
He ended, “Partners who can navigate the AI-driven shift in cybersecurity will define the market.
“SentinelOne is uniquely positioned to empower our channel community to lead that change and deliver the security outcomes customers need.”
