Veeam picks Philip Goldie as new ANZ VP
He has more than two decades of go-to-market experience at Microsoft, Okta and SafetyCulture.
Data and cyber resilience company Veeam has selected Philip Goldie as its new ANZ VP.
Goldie has more than two decades of channel experience. He joins Veeam from SafetyCulture, the Australian-founded workplace operations platform, where he led global teams across sales, pre-sales, customer success, partnerships and support.
Previously, he served as Vice President and Country Manager for Okta in Australia and New Zealand.
Working at Microsoft, Okta, and SafetyCulture, Goldie explained to CRN Australia that customers struggle with the same problem: moving fast on new technology while staying secure.
“The playbook is the same at Veeam, just with a sharper focus on data resilience,” he added.
Beni Sia, SVP and general manager, APJ at Veeam told CRN Australia, “Goldie knows how to build the teams and partnerships to help them make that shift.”
Goldie said Australia has one of the most “mature and capable” partner ecosystems in the world.
“Throughout my career, I've seen how important partners are in helping customers adopt new technologies and solve business challenges,” he said.
“My priority is to spend time listening to partners, understanding what's helping them win business and what's getting in the way.
He added, “Partners are how we reach customers, so I want to understand what they're hearing in the market, what their customers need, and where Veeam can better support them.”
In his new role, Goldie is excited by the opportunity to build on Veeam’s position in the market.
“With Veeam's $1.7 billion investment in AI-driven data security and governance through the acquisition of Rehan Jalil's company, we're extending our focus beyond resilience to data trust,” he said.
“In the agentic AI era, organisations need more than the ability to recover data, they need confidence that their data is secure, governed and trusted enough to power AI-driven decisions and actions.
“My goal is to help customers make that shift and ensure they see data resilience and data trust as part of the same conversation.”
Goldie is also a board member of the Children's Medical Research Institute, where he chairs the Digital Strategy Committee.
