Zoom has appointed Carlos Quaderi as head of APAC at Zoom, where he will begin his role on August 1.

Quaderi will oversee the broader APAC region, working closely with regional teams and global leadership to advance the company’s strategic priorities, with a focus on the customer experience business, SMB segment, and channel expansion.

Looking at the Australian region, Quaderi told CRN Australia that he sees a “significant” opportunity to build on the success they’ve achieved in the region.

“We've been incredibly successful across meetings, communications and events business segments, and our focus now is on helping organisations unlock even greater value through AI-powered collaboration, productivity and customer experience,” he said.

“I'm particularly excited about the opportunity to build alongside our partners. They are fundamental to how we go to market, and we'll continue investing in our local channel ecosystem to help more organisations realise the full value of Zoom's platform.”

According to Quaderi, Australia has one of the most mature channel ecosystems in APAC and a long history of successful partner-led businesses, which he said represents a “significant opportunity” for Zoom.

“As more organisations invest in AI, customer experience and workplace transformation, the challenge will be helping customers cut through the noise and identify where AI can deliver genuine business value,” he said.

“That's where trusted partners will play an increasingly important role, and why we'll continue investing in our local channel ecosystem.”

Quaderi said it is an “incredible privilege” to lead the business across APAC.

“My priority now is to build on the strong foundations already in place across the region, work closely with our local teams and help more organisations understand the broader value Zoom can deliver beyond communications,” he said.

He was the head of Asia at Zoom before stepping into this role.

Quaderi previously held senior leadership roles at Workday, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft, where he led go-to-market strategy and enterprise growth across Asia Pacific and Japan.

He will be based in Singapore, but says Sydney is a “special place” for him.

“I’ll take every opportunity I can to get back, spend time with our customers, partners and Zoomies on the ground, and support Zoom’s continued growth across the region.”

In a message to Zoom’s Aussie partners, he said, “We believe conversational intelligence will fundamentally change how people interact with AI and get work done, turning everyday conversations into meaningful action and, ultimately, conversion.

“Our partners are central to that journey, and we’re looking to build an ecosystem that can bring that innovation to organisations across the ANZ region.”
