Google Cloud hires Gretta Svendsen as new ANZ head of partnerships and alliances
Svendsen said she is looking forward to working with Google Cloud’s partners across ANZ.
Google Cloud has hired Gretta Svendsen as its new ANZ head of partnerships and alliances.
She takes over from Gary Denman who has stepped down after two years in the role. CRN Australia has reached out to Google Cloud to understand Denham’s next steps.
According to the company, Svendsen will be responsible for strengthening Google Cloud’s local channel ecosystem and deepening key partner relationships.
Svendsen told CRN Australia she is “thrilled” to join Google Cloud at an exciting time.
"We’re no longer just talking about the promise of AI - we’re delivering it,” she explained.
“I’m looking forward to working together with our partners across Australia and New Zealand to help customers transform by leveraging our enterprise ready, AI-optimised platform, with leading models and agents."
Svendsen has held executive sales roles at Microsoft, Xero and CommBank. Prior to this role at Google Cloud, she was the executive general manager – corporate at SAP.
She was also the regional vice president of sales at Salesforce.
In a statement, Anthony McMahon, MD, partners and corporate business, APAC at Google Cloud said, “Her deep experience will be instrumental in helping our partners to create innovation and deliver AI-first customer outcomes.”
In a Linkedin post discussing her new role, she thanked Denham; Paul Migliorini, VP Google Cloud, ANZ; and McMahon for their backing and leadership.
In the post she said, “The opportunity ahead is huge, and partners are at the heart of it.”
She began her role on March 31 and will be based in Sydney.
