Managed hosting provider Hyve has opened up shop in Australia with its APAC managing director calling this move “the next natural step in Hyve’s growth”.

For the past 15 years, the company has built the business in UK, Europe and the US. Angus Jones, the regional MD told CRN Australia exclusively that many of the challenges Hyve’s customers face are just as relevant in the Aussie market.

“Australia is also an increasingly important digital hub for the Asia-Pacific region,” Jones explained.

“We wanted to establish a local presence with local infrastructure and local expertise so organisations can benefit from enterprise-grade managed hosting backed by a team that understands the Australian market.”

The company will move into offices based in Bondi Junction, in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. It’s Sydney and Melbourne data centre locations are live and have been delivered via Equinix.

According to Hyve, this is enabling Hyve to provide Australian customers with access to its full portfolio of managed hosting and cloud services, including Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) and Private Cloud solutions, backed by managed security and compliance expertise.

Both data centre locations have been set up with the capacity to expand as customer demand increases.

Some of these challenges Jones referenced include, balancing cloud costs, security, performance and compliance.

“Concerns around cost control, data sovereignty, cybersecurity and AI are driving demand for trusted infrastructure partners,” Jones said.

“We see a significant opportunity to help organisations modernise their IT environments while maintaining the flexibility to choose the right mix of private cloud, public cloud, virtual machines and containers.”

As Hyve has only begun building its foundations in Australia, Jones noted that they are actively building relationships with partners that share our customer-first approach.

“Rather than focusing on signing hundreds of partners, we're focused on developing meaningful, long-term relationships where both businesses can grow together,” he said.

For the next 12 month, Hyve is looking to grow its partner ecosystem.

“Further infrastructure investment, with a road map to establish our Perth data centre. We'll also be focused on raising awareness of our brand and demonstrating our capabilities and services to local organisations,” Jones explained.

Jones explained that Hyve is "partner-friendly and flexible” in how they engage with their partners.

“Some partners simply introduce opportunities, while others work alongside us throughout the sales and delivery process,” he said.

“We can operate behind the scenes, white-label services where appropriate, or work jointly with customers. Our objective is simple: help our partners win more business while providing an exceptional experience for the end customer.”

Jones added that their goal is to make it “easy” to do business with them.

“We'll be transparent, responsive and committed to helping you deliver successful outcomes for your customers,” he said.

“Whether it's modernising applications, reducing cloud costs or supporting AI initiatives, we're here to complement your capabilities. The strongest partnerships are built on trust, and that's exactly what we're looking to establish in Australia.”

He ended, “We're excited to be part of Australia's technology ecosystem and look forward to working closely with customers and partners as they navigate the next phase of their digital transformation.”
